My top 5 albums:

1. Last Shadow Puppets: Age of the Understatement – I have listened to this all year and saw them at the Hammersmith Apollo which was one of my favourite nights of the year. I love Meeting Place, the whole sixties French vibe is beautiful.
2. Ladyhawke: Ladyhawke – I have just got into this recently, and there isn’t a song I don’t like, its such a fun album and perfect for putting a smile on my face.
3. Neon Neon: Stainless Style – Although I haven’t listened to this that much recently, I did listen to is almost constantly when it first came out, and seeing them perform at Cargo was fantastic.
4. Los Campasinos: Hold on Now Youngster – This is such a fun pop album, all the songs are catchy and I find it hard not to get up and jump around whenever they are on. They were my highlight of the Greenman Festival; 7 people playing an amazing array of instruments and making a brilliant sound.
5. MGMT: Oracular Spectacular – I have tried hard to love this whole album to prove those who keep saying that only the singles are good wring but really, I just like the singles. But I like them a LOT!! The Youth was on my i-pod almost constantly in November.

My top 5 albums:

1. TV on the Radio - I'd never heard their older stuff but this album grabbed me immediately. Not a weak track on it. Yet another Brooklyn band!
2. Neon Neon: Stainless Style - Loved this album. I'm a big fan of Gruff but nevertheless this still stood out - very 80s sounding. They were great at Glastonbury.
3. Last Shadow Puppets: Age of the Understatement. A lovely collection of songs. Still prefer the Arctic Monkeys, but Alex Turner is obviously a genius - head and shoulders above the rest, he's the best we have at the moment.
4. I'm running out here so I'm going for MGMT: Oracular Spectacular - a few duff tracks but those singles were great.
5. Laura Marling: Alas I cannot Swim - but folky ok, but this is a great album. The first track Ghosts is a classic.
