How far from Tottenham Court Road Tube Staion is it? Come out of the tube station and turn left, it's about 4 minutes walk up Oxford Street on the right. From Oxford Circus turn right and walk down Oxford Street for about 6 minutes.
Should I get there early? No need to rush as the 100 Club is basically one small room, unless you want to grab one of the few tables that are dotter around the stage.
Is there anywhere to eat nearby? There is a pizza stand just outside Tottenham Court Road Station, or head to nearby Soho (head perpendicular to Oxford Street exactly opposite the 100 Club) for plenty of eating options.

100 Club venue guide

One of the most famous venues in the world and the scene of some legendary gigs in the 1970's, this venue is absolutely anonymous from the outside. In fact it feels like you are entering a hotel lobby until you pass the cash desk and head through the door downstairs. Then it is unmistakeably a grimy but unpretentious and atmospheric London venue of the sort that are currently under threat.

100 Club venue guide informationThe venue is rectangular-shaped with a small stage against the back wall. To the right is a bar serving pints in plastic glasses. On the walls are photos of old jazz legends from the days when the 100 Club was a jazz mecca in the 1940s. From the back wall you are only about 14-deep from the front, so this is certainly intimate. You can sense the history here, partly because it is obviously a while since the last redecoration. The sound is also nice and loud. I had a great night discovering the 100 Club, even though I had never heard of the band I saw. If you ever manage to get tickets to a secret gig here (the Rolling Stones and Oasis have played warm-up gigs and more recently The Hives played here) then you are guaranteed a great night.
